Did the people who had issue using this mold properly temper their chocolate? Or is there a genuine issue with the mold?

I have not had any issues with the mold - chocolates come out fine.

Could something like jello be poured into it?

With lots of nonstick spray maybe, but it is not flexible. It is made for chocolate or like items that harden. You knock it on the table to get them out
