Fishing Sun Boonie Hat Waterproof Summer UV Protection Safari Cap Outdoor Hunting Hat

I've been using this hat for a few weeks now. I only have good things to say.Firstly it provides terrific coverage and protection from the sun.It's comfortable, can be worn all day. It keeps my head cool and even accommodates me resting sunglasses on my foreheadIt's very compact and folds away easily. It comes with a handy ziploc type bag that I've kept so it can remain cleanI've received a lot of compliments on how great it looks and others want to know where they can get 1 like it.I haven't fully tested how resistant it is to water but it has so far offered decent protection in light drizzlesThis is a great buy for the money. Would definitely recommend it for the outdoorsman

This is a lightweight and crushable hat that travels well in luggage, backpack, or even your pocket.The lighter weight keeps it from being too hot when hiking. I even threw it in the wash after a few sweaty hikes and that didn't create any issues. Sizing is as it says. My head is about 1/4-3/8" bigger than the size and I found I could stretch it a little to be comfortable, but had to stretch it again after washing.All and all a good sun hat.

Just got the hat today (7/18/17). AND ON TIME! Always great with two day shipping.I have a big trip to Maui 3 days from now with my family, so excited! So it was a big deal to get the hat on time for me.Also read MANY other similar hat reviews, and notably this one look real good.Saw some mishaps for some purchasers, but looked like customer service was great in response and fixing the problem.Opened hat today, and gave it the look around, saw no problems. I put it on, all was well. I then used the snaps to pin up the sides of the hat. As I went to unpin one side, the snap came off (with little effort, believe me, I'm a small guy). BUMMER!!!With only 3 days till I'm on an airplane, there's no way to do the return process that fast. So I cut off the remaining strap on the broken side, and cut off the other side to match it up and look even.Besides that, the hat is: Light in weight (won't weigh you down when hiking).Seems it would dry out well if it got wet, given the material.Snug on my head (my head = 23 1/2 inches), with room at the bowl top (about 1-1/2 inches) space from my scalp.Brim is nice and firm, not flappy and flimsy.I folded the hat to collapse, and it came back almost ready in expanded form.Chin strap will keep the hat on with wind.I'll update the review when I hear back from the seller, as I sent them a message on the snap problem and let them know about my short time frame to the trip.*****************************************************************Updated 7/19/17: Adjusted starts rating from 3 to 4.Sent notification to seller, who responded within a few hours only. Advised me due to the defective hat, they will send me a new one in a week! ( :) ) Great response time and resolving the problem by the seller. Even though I won't be able to bring it with me for the trip, I still really appreciate the free hat, without exchanging it for the defective one, and VERY prompt service.Adjusting to 4 stars for customer service. It is a good hat.

Right out of the box, I really like this hat. It fits my head (size 7 1/4) perfectly, just snug enough so it doesn't flop around or fall off when I bend over or even put my head upside down. It's also really light and comfortable to wear, I barely even noticed it after wearing it for an hour. The crown is deep enough to pull over my eyebrows, but it won't slide down and cover them accidentally, it's just snug enough on my head to stay exactly where I put it.The brim is a little on the limp side, it'll do what you want it to do and stay where you put it for the most part, but I'd still prefer it to be a little more stiff. Unfortunately, this is the only cheap sun hat that had a long (more than 3 inch, this hat in particular has a 4 inch brim.) brim and a deep crown to keep the sun off of my lower face and neck. I can tell that this hat will do a great job at that. It's also packable, so that's a plus too.The drawstring seems kind of flimsy and cheap, if anything breaks, I'd imagine it'd be either that or the side snaps, as other people have had durability problems with them before.I will update this review in the future if anything falls apart.

Nice hat but "one size fits all" greatly influences the effectiveness of the hat. The hat fits big and consequently falls too far down on my head and the hat to flops around when working. It would have been simple to add velcro to the head band and allow the user to tighten the fit a little bit. I pinched over an inch on the head band and put in a stitch. Now fits well.Nice stiff and wide brim. Not going to win any contest for attractiveness but does the job of blocking the sun.

I bought this for long stretches of cloudless days on the Jon boat. It’s absolutely perfect. But just be aware…I wear a 7 5/8s hat, and it fits perfect. Slides on easy and you can pull down a little to keep it from flying off going against a stiff wind. Point Being - I have a pretty big head and a lot of hair. My cousin with a much smaller head and no hair put it on and looked like a mushroom. Not even close. So just be aware. I rate this 5 because it’s perfect for me…may not be for you. Cheers

This is my 2nd time I’ve purchased this hat. I wore the last one out after wearing it 4-5 yrs. I’ve been working 7 yrs helping maintain large outside landscaped grounds, including under summer temperatures of intense heat. This hat gives me the protection I need from the sun. This wide brim hat is flexible, durable SPF 50, & lightweight. It’s literally saved me from the summer heat.

NOT waterproof!!A 20 minute walk in the rain quickly proved this hat is the product of false advertising
