I don't like using ropes for my hammock at all, but as a poor teenager I can't afford tree straps. The first time I used the Hammock I tied the ropes and hung it up. This probably wasn't a great idea, but me and my friend got into it. We were cautious, but then as soon as we got comfortable we were on the ground. One of the ropes had snapped. THey are somewhat brittle. I may have gotten a bad batch, but be cautious. ** I know this was a stupid idea ** Bottom line: Get this Bear Butt hammock, and the Bear Butt tree straps to go with it! Tree straps are totally worth it. Overall it's a great price for a great hammock! As well as a great company to support!

Love my bear butt hammie! It just came yesterday and as an eno hammock owner as well as a dream hammock owner this one is by far my favorite. It's not the lightest on the market but for the price you get one heck of a hammock thank you guys so much for my beautiful pink and black Hammie I love it!

I bought this for my sister because I got the same one for myself a few months ago and I am just really happy with it. It doesn’t feel cheap and the material holds up. It’s comfortable to lay in and also comfortable holds 2 people. I love how easily it packs up as well. I will recommend spending the extra money on the straps- what a life changer, makes setting up wicked fast and easy!
