They work
I read about the tubes on line and thought that I would pick up a set. They work perfectly.

Love those, high quality, now doing 0.7x macro w Sony E-Mount 24-105mm F4
Using both tubes (10+16) on the A7R4 full frame sensor resulted in a 0.7x magnification @ 105mm, versus 0.33x originally. Leaves more than 3" distance between the glass and the subject. Autofocus still works perfectly. Also tried them on the 16-35mm GM, but the distance to subject is minuscule, not appropriate for my needs. These tubes are well made, with black felt / velvet in the inner barrel to cut down on stray reflections. Most of the cheaper tubes seem to be just bare plastic barrel, with evident glare. Except maybe the Vello Deluxe ? Reminder: the focal plane w tubes remains convex (spherical) per your lens's focus plane's shape. A true macro lens is supposed to have a flat focal plane. So on flat subjects, w tubes and fast aperture, if the center is in focus, the edges won't be, and vice versa. So, it's good for concave subjects ("better" than true macro lens), but will require more careful focusing techniques (small aperture or stacking) for flat or convex subjects (like insects). Excellent youtube video on the topic: "Macro Lens vs Extension Tubes by @PhotoJoseph - what's the difference"

Great quality compared to the cheaper alternatives.
Excellent quality. I used so many of the cheaper ones but they were damaging the camera or lens. My suggestion is don’t buy cheap products to put on a camera and lens that you invested a lot of money on.The only reason I gave this product 4 stars is that Kenko should have been more generous by adding protective caps for the front and back or even a protective case. After all it’s a very expensive product.
