Where is the battery? And is it changeable?

The battery is housed inside the in-line controller (the little boxy bit on the wire) It is not removable.

How does this recharge, micro usb or proprietary connection? and if so, where does it connect, to the microphone piece? thanks.

It's a micro USB. There's a small rubber-like cap that pops loose and rotates away to reveal the port on the backside of the mic.

How long does it take to recharge?

If they're dead, just under an hour. After a few hours use, they can fully charge in 10 minutes. They hold a charge for about 7.5 hours of continuous use.
