I have been taking this iodine supplement from Terry Naturally called "Thyroid Care" for almost 5 years now. I have only been taking 1 capsule daily. i noticed shortly after starting it the first month that my energy level and stamina were much improved. I was working 10-12 hour days and i was mentally exhausted until i started taking this supplement! I rashed for the first few months but not bad. When i took some pink salt 1/2-1 tsp daily in hot cereal or water, or whatever i wanted to use it in, the rashes improved and went away. So, when a person first starts taking iodine, they definitely need the salt too. Your body is trying to get rid of the toxic halides and the salt helps the iodine to do that. In fact, as soon as you start taking iodine, it starts to detox the body. I will always take it!! I had my thyroid levels checked at my primary care doctor. According to Western medicine it’s fine. But according to a naturopathic doctor low, And I have a lot of physical symptoms showing low thyroid, such as cracked heels, no moons on fingernails, weight doesn’t come off etc.I’ve been taking this for two straight months, at first occasionally my index finger would twitch but now it doesn’t, I haven’t noticed any negative affects. It is more effective if taken on an empty stomach in the morning and then I don’t eat for at least 30 minutes. I’m really active in my job 20k steps per day but the weight wasn’t coming off. With this, it is slowly coming off—in a healthy way. My cracked heels are also gone. And the moons on my finger nails are coming back. I love this!
