Elegant look - good construction and value
I bought both the Maxim "Rondo" and the Quoizel "Hollister" to compare the two before I bought three bathroom fixtures for my master bath. I bought the 2-light versions of each in chrome. The Quoizel Hollister has very shiny true silver chrome color and a white glass shade. For my bathroom, I preferred the coloring of the Maxim Rondo. The Rondo has a more muted chrome color which is slightly browner. The browner chrome blends nicely with my bright silver chrome sink handles and towel bars. I think the more muted chrome looks more subtle against my pale grey/green wall color than the bright silver chrome of the Hollister.I also preferred the Rondo because of its fabric shades. Glass and chrome can be a bit "cold" and the shades on the Rondo soften the look. The shades on the Rondo are an off-white/ivory when not lit. They blend nicely with my wall color, my cabinets (painted off-white with a hint of green) and even with the bright white of the sink and mirror frame. When the light is turned on, the shades change color to a light tan (yellowish brown). This is happening with a clear GE 60 watt chandelier bulb. The tan color doesn't look as nice against my paint color as the ivory does (with the light off). My paint is pale grey/green but the shades are tan so it doesn't seem to be a reflection of the paint color. Overall, the look is neutral enough that it blends although I'd prefer the shades to remain white when the lights are on.With a white frosted bulb, the shade appears just slightly less tan. With a CFL bulb, the shade appears a pale yellow/green - closer to my wall color but I actually prefer the tan color. With a krypton bulb, the tan color is the same as with the 60 watt incandescent bulb. The two GE 60 watt chandelier bulbs I tried have 660 lumens each - there were other GE 60 watt bulbs with far fewer lumens. The light is sufficient for doing your hair and brushing your teeth but it's not bright enough for putting on makeup. The Rondo has a light diffuser on the bottom which shields your eyes from direct light if you look up into the fixture. The diffusers look very nice. The diffusers are necessary to secure the shades and cannot be removed. If you ever need to replace the shades, you'll have to give up the diffusers.I found a compact fluorescent bulb on Amazon that should generate more light and not exceed the manufacturer's recommendation on wattage. The CFL bulb is TCP 48913C and it's an instant on/off ($5.99 plus tax and shipping = $10.00). It is 13 watts and the specs say it is equivalent to a 60 watt incandescent. It has 925 lumens compared the 660 lumens of the clear incandescent bulb so it should have been substantially brighter. But it was even dimmer than the clear 60 watt incandescent bulb. This CFL bulb is the only one I found that will fit inside the shade without sticking out the top. There's another version of this CFL bulb, TCP 48918C, with 1300 lumens (equivalent to a 75 watt bulb) but it would stick out the top of the shade by 1/4 inch - such a small amount that it is not be visible looking upward. Unfortunately, this 1300 lumens bulb was also dimmer than the 60 watt incandescent bulb. (A salesman in the lamp store told me that lumens are supposed to measure brightness but it's all hit and miss.) Lastly, LampsPlus has a Xenon bulb #68498 ($15.00)with 960 lumens. I shopped around and got Westinghouse xenon/krypton bulbs for under $5 each. They are a bit brighter than the 60 watt clear incandescent bulbs but you'll have to decide whether you spend $5 for four bulbs or $5-15 for each bulb. One nitpick is that when the shades are lit, you can see the teeny clips where the diffusers are attached to the shades. I stopped noticing this the third day. Because I'm picky, I might be the only person who ever notices this and I didn't notice it after three days. When I first tested the lights, the filament inside the clear 60 watt incandescent bulb created a wavy, dark line going down the front of each shade that bothered me. By loosening the bulb just a little, the line disappeared from the front of the shade to the side of the shade where it is hardly noticeable. You can't do this with the krypton bulbs because they are much smaller and must be screwed all the way in.Overall, the Rondo is elegant and well-made. I really like the neutral blend of color tones and the transitional style. I order two more lights like it. I gave it a 4 star rating because I wish I had the option of more light.

Quality Product
Product very nice. Seller is very accommodating. There was some mixup in the order but the seller went out of his way to solve the problem to everyone's satisfaction.. There is no question we will purchase from Haus Appeal again. A good company

Looks beautiful in my bathroom. Lighting is good for me to apply makeup.

Four Stars
Great product looks expensive. The shades don't allow for as much light to transfer through.

Great look
Great look! Just wished it gave you the option of having the lamps face up or down. I needed to modify the plastic disks to make them work in my bathroom.
