Very well made.
Very easy to install. My wife really likes the dimmer action when turned on.

Unable to Adjust Light Level While Lights Are Off
My biggest gripe about this switch is that I cannot adjust the light level when the lights are off. If you are quick, it is possible to "catch" the lights as they fade-to-on by pushing the dimmer either direction, effectively stopping the lights at the brightness they were at when you pushed the button. Lutron, if you are listening, fixing this issue would make this my ideal dimmer switch! (It is still pretty close, as I gave it 5 stars in spite of this technical omission).Despite this shortcoming, I am very happy with this purchase, because this dimmer switch offers the following feature set that I feel is currently unmatched in the dimmer switch market:1. Ease of use. My house guests don't get confused or ask questions about how to use this switch. It is very intuitive to figure out the basic features.2. Time-delay power down. Holding the lower portion of the switch makes the LED's on the left flash from the bottom up, adding 10 seconds of delay for each second of depression. Hold the switch for 3 seconds, and you just bought yourself 30 seconds to get into bed before the lights fade-to-off (70 seconds max). This is my favorite feature, and one that is not available on most other dimmer switches.3. The switch has LED's that show the current light level (fairly common feature)4. Double-tapping turns on lights to full brightness (fairly common feature)5. The cut-off power switch. *DISCLAIMER: Never do any electrical work without shutting off power from your circuit breaker!* I have broken this rule using the cut-off tab at the bottom of the switch, and survived. It also proved invaluable when the breaker to my bedroom kept flipping, to help me isolate the problem to something else. This is about a 50/50 feature on other dimmer switches.6. The programmable fade on/fade off times. I am using the default for my main bedroom lighting, but slowed down the fade on/off time for the accent lights that illuminate my wall art. Not a critical feature, but definitely nice to have, and very uncommon.I bought this switch instead of the 600W version because I needed to break one of the tabs off the side to make it fit in a multi-gang box. Doing this reduces the max power draw supported by the switch. My installation is controlling about 300W of lighting, and I wanted more headroom than the equivalent 600W switch would allow (The 600W drops to 450W when breaking one of the tabs off). Be sure to consult the manual to determine the maximum wattage if you are installing this switch in a multi-gang box (it drops depending on how many tabs you need to remove). Overall, highly recommended!EDIT on Aug 19, 2013-Despite the fact that I already gave this 5 starts and what I would consider to be a glowing review, I thought that I should include an additional feature that was brought to my attention in the comments. I verified that pushing the upper portion of the dimmer switch on the right does turn the lights on to the dimmest level. Additionally, holding the upper portion of the dimming rocker will fade the lights up from the lowest setting until the rocker is released. As the commenter suggests, I think this alleviates my gripe about not being able to adjust the light level when the lights are off. Thanks for sharing this feature with future buyers!

great price as compared to the local stores
installed this very quickly and I have very little electrical experience. I was surprised how it does not have any of its own wires as you just put the existing wires into the screws on this, my last lutron light had wires that I spliced to the others. Just FYI if you don't have much wire to work with for your job. Time will tell how it holds up. It will take some getting use to as when you turn it on / off it auto dims as described with other reviews. great price as compared to the local stores, came quickly

works well
Bought this switch while I was finishing my basement.....I was installing several recessed lights and needed a dimmer that would be able to handle the extra wattage from the lights. This switch works really well. I also bought one of the companion dimmer switches so we can dim the lights from either location. It was easy to install since I was running all the wire myself. The manual says that you can install several of the companion switches, great idea.

I love it
I had a switch like this and it was not heavy duty enough for my application, so I changed it for another kind. I found that this switch is available in 1000 watt version and bought it. It works great and dims perfectly.

One Thousand Watt able
I am running 10 each/100W bulbs totaling 1000 Watts in my living room without the switch getting hot like my last dimmer switch. This smart dimmer switch will return to your last dimmed setting with a single tap or tap it twice to go to full power. Tap once to turn off or push and hold and it will delay turning off for 10 second intervals for up to 60 seconds; the longer you hold it the longer it will delay turning off your lights. This is great because you don't have to walk from the living room to the bed room in the dark at the end of the night. Multiple LED lights on the side will show the dimmer level verses the time delay for turning off lights.I don't know what more you could ask for in a dimmer switch; maybe they can come up with one to coordinate with your alarm clock to slowly turn on your lights in the morning simulating the sunrise. If you are interested, Amazon carries another smart device called a "dawn simulator" that plugs into the lamp on your night stand that simulates the sunrise over a 30 minute period which is great in the long dark winter months.

Great product.
Worked as designed. We have a load of 960-watts and the switches do not get hot, whereas other switches did get very hot even though they claimed could handle the load. Definitely would recommend.

Item does not include decorative cover
Item does not include the decorative cover, as pictured. It is only the dimmer. Misleading with it being pictured in the ad.
