Never worked. Couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t so we took it to a VW Dealer and they said it was a cheap Amazon part. One of the pins had pushed in before we could even use it. Waste of money. Would have returned if it wasn’t passed the 30 days. Ridiculous that it never even got 1 use out of it. Spend the extra 30 dollars and get the OEM.

Left side standard light, turn signal and brake light don't work.We have two cars that tow and tested everything... Everything works unless this piece is in. It has to be this piece that's busted.Unfortunately didn't get a chance to try it 'til after the return window closed.Update: ordered a new piece from a different supplier. The problem persists... Increased rating to 2 stars because one of the connections fell out randomly (new one has these glued in better) and overall quality is better on the new one despite it being cheaper.

Bought this to replace my busted adapter. I also chose this so I could mount it on my bumper rather than under it. It did not come with hardware so had to go to Lowe's and grab bolts, nuts and washers. You'll also need the connector for this that can be found here on Amazon. Got it mounted with my mod and must say I am pretty happy about it.

The contact pins were not aligned/straight on either side of the connector. When I plugged it in a pin on both sides of the connector folded over and didn't make contact. One pin was not full seated and came out when I unplugged to check on why it wasn't working.

Fits and works perfectly. Much better price than dealership and works exactly the same. Only had it for a month so can’t comment on durability yet.

Absent a photo of the back of the connector I didn't realize the connections were friction slide on type. I will not use this type of wiring connection for a somewhat hostile environment at the rear of my RV. Before purchase this connector, be sure you can accept the slide on friction type connector. I did not install the connector.

Replaced the old, broken socket in 5 minutes. I'm surprised how much easier the male connector now works. The old one had oxidized a bit making it a little difficult to connect. 100% compatible replacement.

Tried to install on 2020 Atlas.too tight to push onto plug. Then when pulled out of plug the metal contacts, one came out. Useless.
