School has not started but we jumped on buying these early in hopes that we might find something to motive my 11, 8 & 6 year old dyslexic children. "Those are COOL" When we blended 2 of the colors it matched my daughters shade of purple, PERFECTLY. I wish there was a way to attach 2 together and use as a single ruler providing the opportunity to select or create various color options. The case is very nice, and an extra case would be great to prevent scratching of the ones not in use and to store the other in a backpack. Worth every penny and will likely buy more! Now, if we could find composition folders with colored paper and use these for books.... Genius little highlighters! They keep eyes from drifting, reduce glare and will be an asset to anyone learning to read or with dyslexia and Irlens Syndrome, potentially even attention issues!

So grateful that we gave these a shot, my daughter has so much more confidence when reading. She struggles with seeing the letters and she is now working with a dyslexic specialist. She is in first grade so keep in mind some of the children's books have large print and these strips may be too small to view the entire word within the strip, if you are reading larger word books, you will need to go with the sheets. She carries them in the pouch that comes with it and takes them to library at school and doesn't feel uncomfortable because it just looks like a bookmark. She was nervous about being picked on because of her dyslexia. She has come so far in a few weeks of working with these strips, I am not a doctor not do I specialize in dyslexia or dysgraphia but when she uses the strips, she is much more accurate on pronunciation and interpretation.

This product has been a wonderful addition to the tools I use to help my son with reading. He has dyslexic which makes reading very diifcult. These strips helped him with his tracking issues and the colored plastic inside seemed to make it much easier for him to recognise letters and words. His reading time even improved!

I received this product today, therefore the durability rating is only a guess, with this said the plastic looks thick enough to last me a good enough time. I gave it an overall rating of 4 because I thought it was 2 ply so that it can hold in the spot one is on without having to hold it. That would be optimal since from time to time I will have to stop and type or write notes from what I am reading and do not want to lose my spot. I taped two, together and so this seems to work fine enough, and double as a bookmark as well. Overall I am generally happy with this product and it will definitely help me with my focus issues.

I bought these strips to help my dyslexic son read. Reading is hard for him and this strip helped him stay in place as his stamina runs down. He can longer and more fluently with them. Definitely worth the money!Update. I just purchased a 2nd set. Since our last purchase he has used these strips so consistently that his favorite colors (clear, yellow & blue) have worn out. They have been worth every penny. For my reluctant reader who only chose graphic novels, these strips changed the game. He has read several novels since using these reading strips and currently has a stack of novels on his bed side. He just started 5th grade, 10 years old.

It's what I expected

This is a very well made, very helpful product. I like it better than a full sheet because my daughter can follow the line she is reading. As a dyslexic one of the main issues for her with reading is the line jumping. This prevents that by focusing on one line at a time.

Changing the color of the background while reading makes such a drastic difference in reading speed and comprehension. I am so impressed with the quality of these reading guides. They are thin and flexible and yet are sturdy enough to glide thru the pages. These reading guides have helped improve the attitudes of struggling readers by making books and text easier to read. The thin line of color is perfect for novels and text books for older students and adults reading normal size 12 font.The variety of colors in the pack is perfect for selecting the best color for each child/adult. I would say these are excellent for dyslexia struggles, autism spectrum struggles, or anyone who reads better without a white background.
