I can turn the water on with my phone
Okay, so turning water on with a phone seems sort of silly when you're right there and it's just saving you a few steps. The novelty of having a hose in one hand and a phone in the other and having one of them control the other probably isn't worth the purchase price. But when I'm out of town and the weather is suddenly a lot hotter or wetter than I planned for, I can change the watering from afar and that (I hope) is going to be a game changer for my poor garden. This watering timer seems well made and has been easy to use and set up, although the instructions are written in user-manual pidgin. It doesn't leak at all, the little button that you press to start or stop the water is quickly responsive, and the app is mostly not terrible. The solenoid valve operates very quietly, which makes it seem very slick.I like that the app tells you how much water was dispensed in the latest watering. This is not a feature I thought much about before, but now I realize it is really useful for calibrating the watering time and frequency. I wish it would give fuller information, though, like, "last water usage: 3.4 gallons in 2 minutes at 7:15 am, such-and-such date." Or perhaps even more water use stats, like water usage in last 7 days or last 24 hours or whatever. But all it tells you is how many gallons during the last usage.I also wish they'd come out with a multi-zone version of this. The single zone really limits the usefulness of the timer, and it's a little pricey for that. But if you often travel during some of the hottest and driest times of the year, it may still be worth it.One of the reasons I got this timer is the compatible soil moisture sensor, which I also got. The controls for using the moisture sensor are pretty terrible, though. I thought you'd be able to set up an automation where you could use the sensor status as a condition for triggering changes in the watering schedule, but it's not quite there. I can check the soil moisture, but as far as I can tell I have to intervene manually to use its output and regulate the watering myself, non-automatically. I think there's some kind of built-in feedback program that uses the sensor data, but I am not sure I set it up correctly (pidgin instructions for the sensor were especially hard to decipher) and whatever it's doing is not transparent. I don't think this makes the sensor useless, but it's not what I expected. Future software updates could improve the functionality, but I don't know if any are planned.

Works Great with Drip Irrigation - Be Patient with Install
I've been using Orbit digital timers to run my drip irrigation systems for quite a while. It was time to upgrade to a wifi-based system so I could control things without having to a) be home or b) run outside and push the rain delay button.I have set up this Rainpoint Hub and Timer in two separate locations - my house and my daughter's house. Wifi set up at my house was easy, as I have separate 2.4 and 5.0 ghz wifi bands. My daughter's house has Google Nest mesh system - which has both bands, but you cannot specify which one you're connected to. After some research, I found if I plugged the Hub into a long extension cord, then strolled out the back yard a ways, my iPhone would connect to the 2.4 ghz and the Hub would install. Once installed, I unplugged it from the extension cord and plugged it in inside the house. Works perfect now! (You can also try turning off wifi on your phone and turning it back on during the syncing process, that will sometimes force the phone to connect to 2.4 first.... and install the Hub). Note, while 5.0 band is certainly better to use, many of these IoT devices use the 2.4 band. I don't fault Rainpoint for going that way, too.In both locations, the Timers were easy to then connect to the Hub. Setting them up with Alexa (my house) and Google Assistant (her house) seemed to go well. However, I must tell Alexa to "OPEN Front Drip" not "turn on"... Open/Close, not Turn On/Off. They were also easy to install on my hose systems. Connections are plastic, so be careful not to cross thread or over tighten. You only need to squish the washer a bit, not kill it.Finally, on the issue of buying more TTV103WRF timers. They're just not out there yet. I even called the company and got on the waiting list. No, the green colored Bluetooth version will not work with this Hub. Fortunately, Amazon offered this same Timer/Hub with an $18 discount "coupon" earlier this week. So I picked up a second set and just stored the extra Hub. I needed one more Timer and Amazon had another $10 coupon on the set yesterday, so I'm all set with three timers/one hub at my house and one timer/one hub at second location (and two extra Hubs stored in my basement). (It's likely the Timer alone will run about $65..... )Best part: While we each have our own Rainpoint Account, we can SHARE access, so I have the ability to adjust the system at the second location - turning on rain delay if needed, or reviewing how much watering has been done lately. A very cool feature. Would be perfect to also use at my vacation home (if I left the water turned on out there). While it's only been a week - these seem to be performing as expected. Added bonus is they turn off less abruptly than my old digital timer - eliminating the water hammer I used to hear at 5:30 each morning when the system shut off.Certainly not the cheapest wifi system out there, but fairly easy to set up and use.Note: I do not have the soil sensor, so I'm not using the Smart Watering which monitors local weather and adjusts watering automatically. It's pretty easy now to just open the app and tap Rain Delay to skip a day or two after rain.

Great Hardware, App and instructions need work
I am very impressed with the quality of the hardware. It seems to be well designed and manufactured. Everything fits and works. Very straightforward. The quick start guide had some misleading instructions. The unit that I got was to be an add-on to an existing hub but the instructions in the app for pairing the new valve begin by showing you unplugging and resetting the hub. I followed the instructions. No only did that never exit from setup mode but it erased all of the existing programming. The actual programming is pretty simple and works reliably. The rain delay is a bit confusing. You can choose 24, 48 or 72 hours delay but it's not clear how to tell when it will end or how to tell if it has ended. The other thing that is missing (or I just haven't found it) is a simple pause button to suspend the programming until you resume. When it's going to be raining for an unpredictable period, it would be easier to just pause everything for a while rather that playing guessing games with rain delays.Other that that I really like the unit. It is easier to setup and use than some others that I tried. I would buy this again and recommend it. I can't say anything about there support because they have closed down for the holidays. They do have a US phone number that is actually in my area code, in case I need any help after the new year. Seems like a great company overall

Lo he probado concienzudamente y perfecto.
