The Great Big Book of Mighty Machines

These books are all so cool for kiddos who love cars and trucks. My son loves to learn about trucks. He can name parts of fire trucks and what they are used for during a rescue. When he was just two, he developed a big vocabulary with words like action, rescue, emergency, and siren. This particular book is a heavy hardcover book with chapters on construction trucks, monster trucks, trains, emergency vehicles, cars (race cars), bikes/motorcycles, and tractors. Great photos, big pages, such a refreshing change from rhyming storybooks.

I gave this book to my 5 year old nephew who loves the show Mighty Machines and loves anything about trucks. This book has a LOT of information and detail. He likes the pictures and is just learning to read so he can read a bit to himself. I think 5 is the perfect age for this book - I wouldn't recommend it for younger than 5.

my son was 3 when I bought this and he absolutely loved it! we read many pages every night for a long time and he still remembers all the great info this book gives - parts of the machines, different machine names, etc. Pictures are great and info is insightful too!

My boys love this book! We bought it after finding it at the library. Both my 2 and 5 year old like to listen to this over and over. I love that it has multiple books all in one. It has great pictures and a good deal of information so I kind of pick and choose what we talk about on rereads. (Especially of the same story in the same day.)

I purchased this book as a BD gift for my 4 year old grandson who is obsessed with vehicles. Even though it's recommended for older children, the pictures are so good that he's thrilled with the book. There is much information given in the brief text that is written in large size print. Some of the information is new to me! I highly recommend this book.

My son LOVES this book. He is 4 and obsessed with all things truck. He wants to read this book every night at bedtime. It has plenty of bright colorful pictures to hold interest but also lots of facts to read.

I bought this book for my 3-year old who loves anything with wheels. He is obsessed with this book! Brightly colored pictures and great descriptions (but not too wordy). He sleeps with this book in his bed every night! Highly recommend!

Wonderful big book of vehicles and machines! The photos are clear and colourful...and there's just the right amount of text for a budding reader to be interested. Excellent choice for any child who loves things that go...it pretty much has all the 'cool' vehicles you can think of (e.g. construction, rescue, planes, trains, trucks, bikes, you name it). I've seen the separate Mighty Machines books of Fire Trucks, Monster Trucks, etc...but I liked this one because it was a compilation of everything. Will be spending lots of time with my little one on this book!
