Can you wash the produce before storing in these containers?

Its not recommended by the company but I have. Just be sure to drain as much water as possible, I dry produce on paper towels first. Produce is said to last much longer if you don’t wash or cut first. But I like to food prep so yes, I do this and it still lasts way longer than regular containers or ziplocs with papertowels.

Does anyone know if you take the filter out ?

The vent does not ever need to be removed and is designed to last the entire life of the product. It does not require any changes to the vent in order to work. Opening the filter and removing the membrane can result in FreshWorks not functioning properly.

I see that the containers are dishwasher safe, but what about the lids, are they dishwasher safe?

Great product!

This container is wonderful! I followed the instructions, washed and dried my strawberries and put them in the container. The strawberries were still fresh after a week of storage. Normally a few would be mushy and moldy but no, they were perfect! The only problem I had was I ordered two and one of the lids wouldn't fit on the container. I called Amazon and (as always) they made it right. Great product and outstanding customer service!
