Sundown Naturals Super Alpha Lipoic Acid, 600mg, Capsules 60 ea

I have periphreal neuropathy and this supplement is highly recommended by my neurologist. I have been taking it several months and cannot note any difference.

Not too long ago I would have maybe rated this a two star or a three star and it would sit in my kitchen cabinet with a lot of other supplements that I lost interest in. I decided to give this five stars b/c I STOPPED taking it and really felt the effects of it. I started taking Alpha Lipoic Acid to help me control my sugar cravings and to help me control my blood sugar (though I am not a diabetic). I didn't think it was doing anything, but when I stopped taking it for a week I went on a sugar binge and wound up gaining all the weight I had lost (7 pounds). So, now I am back to taking it and immediately feel the effects in that my sugar cravings have diminished completely. I wish I had never stopped taking it. I would recommend this for people who have the same goals I mention here in this post.I have read that it is recommended that you also take B Complex and L-Carnetine with this for the maximum weight loss, sugar control, and increased metabolism effect. I just happened to have those supplements in my reject cupboard in my kitchen, so I am back to taking all three.

I've been taking this for over a month and being pre diabetic it helps keep my blood sugars under control. I still take my doctor prescribed medicine and with her knowledge, take 1 600mg ALA with lunch and have been getting great results with my blood glucose tests. Highly recommended.
