Some cozy watermelon kitties
So a little context, my brother has three cats, two fully grown and one kitten. The two fully grown kitties are so sweet, two days ago he got them fixed and well- they were miserable with the vet cones on so I went to researching like any good kitty aunt would. I found these plush cones and I was like oh my gosh these will be adorable, they’re light weight and comfortable for your kitties with a soft structure. And while it may be a very good product, it honestly just depends on your cat. With Beamer, we put the watermelon on and she’s as happy as can be, loves the neck pillow. Merky is a little escape artist, but we changed up the layout of the furniture a bit so she couldn’t wedge it off so we’re trying it some more with her. It just goes to say, how your cat takes it depends solely on the cat. Not everything will work for every cat, and if the watermelon doesn’t work for Merky then we have two watermelons for Beamer!

Cute and functional designed with your cat’s comfort in mind
This past Thursday my latest stray went in for a surgical procedure that was invasive and had him sent him home wearing the infamous ‘cone of shame’ to prevent any post-licking. The first 24 hours were almost unbearable for the two of us. It was the vet’s comment of ‘he looks sad’ in the image sent to her regarding a possible issue, that I decided to look into alternatives. This was the perfect opportunity to invest in one of the soft post-surgical collars I heard so much about. Let me tell you, this is definitely a game changer and best alternative to the traditional plastic collar ever!!! With a neck size of 7.5 inches and weight of 11 pounds, I ordered the Medium orange slice. It’s soft, lightweight, and appears super comfortable (think feline ‘neck pillow’). I had to wait 2 long days for his ‘orange slice’ to arrive, but it was well worth it. Once here, the transformation was almost immediate once Elvis started wearing it. You simply slip it over his head and adjust the drawstring to tighten or loosen for a snug fit (make sure you can fit two fingers between the neck and collar, but not too loose allowing for them to slip out). Definitely, much easier than trying to tie the old elizabethan string into a bow. Elvis could now return to kittenhood while recovering. His line of sight and peripheral vision was no longer restricted. He could move around, eat, drink and have supervised play without banging into things or tearing stitches! I did notice that when trying to lick his surgical area or lower extremities he did spend quite a bit of time licking the collar and perhaps I should have opted for a larger size given the location of the 2nd scar. Anyway, yes, the collar is machine washable but you first need to remove it to do so (smiles). Overall, it is effective, looks cute, appears comfortable, and does not irritate your feline (mentally or physically). As for the cost… in the greater scheme of things it is less costly than the elizabethan collar on my vet bill and well worth the price of having a comfortable cat. Definitely 5 Stars!!!!!

Cat is a chronic licker
I'd give it 5 stars but the little stinker can still lick his paws. My cat is an over groomer. After he was neutered, all hell broke loose in his body hormonally and gets kidney stones now. Yes! Things no one tells you can happen happened. 2k to remove a stone is about half as much as it was for me to have a stone removed. I digress... It stays put. He cannot reach anything else but his paws. Compared to the Elizabethan cones, he can reach his food and sleep comfortably with this collar. He's been purring happily along. Size is good and it's adjustable. Much safer for him to still jump where he couldn't really do that with the cone. It's like a stuffed toy so it moves with him. Should be durable enough. I combined it with a cat recovery jumpsuit with pant legs and sleeves. He's so much calmer now and looks stinkin cute!

Highly recommend
This donut pillow has been a lifesaver for my cat during recovery. It’s soft, lightweight, and much more comfortable than a traditional cone. My cat was able to rest, eat, and move around without stress, and he tolerated it really well. Great quality and definitely helped make the recovery process smoother. Highly recommend for any pet parent needing a gentler alternative!

Super cute!
PROS: this is a well made collar. Nice and soft with an elastic cord with a cord lock making it easy to get on. I may have misjudged the size (too big). The watermelon is adorable on my ginger Maine Coon. CONS: My 6 mo old Maine Coon is 12 lbs, all muscle and is a typical water lover. That said, the collar became completely saturated in water. The elastic collar allowed him to escape easily (maybe should have gone a size smaller). I made it tight and he still got out. The vet sold me a regular plastic cone which he fought with, but victory is mine. Bottom line, cute, fun but didn't work well for my Boris.

Comfortable
Did the job, he seems to like the added neck pillow. Originally purchased to keep him from over grooming a spot that was irritating him. The ones at the vet give you are hard and uncomfortable and they don't have free range of movement. This is soft and allows him to eat and climb freely

Converted skeptic—never had a better cone!
Don’t hesitate to buy! I was hesitant as it seemed to be made primarily to look “cute”, but my cat took to it immediately. Hates cones with a vengeance but didn’t even try to get this one off. He looks comfortable (and, yes, cute) and uses it as a pillow to sleep. For reference, our cat is 11yo, 13lbs, and happy as a clam in a medium size—great fit. It’s very light and doesn’t bother him at all. Note if your pet has a chin wound this would not be great as it would constantly rub, but any other wound this would do the trick!

Absolutely adorable
We haven't an orange kitty, so of course I had to find an orange cone. It's adjustable and soft, and he could eat easily while wearing it. He was also able to get out of it, even as we kept trying to adjust it. After about the eighth time, we gave up and let him go without it.

My cats has a sensitive skin condition that causes occasional itchy patches around his neck. I need to cover it to prevent him from scratching while it is healing. He has been wearing the pineapple for about a week now and it is perfect. It's nice and soft so doesn't cause any further discomfort. It doesn't stop him from eating, jumping, etc. When he lays down/sleeps it acts like a pillow. He let's me put it on very easily so obviously it's not bothering him, which makes me happy! The only thing to remember if you use it for a similar purpose is to give your cat lots of brushes since thr pillow does get in the way of licking/cleaning their fur. I also give him supervised breaks from the neck pillow so he can groom and just be free for a while (I supervise to make sure he doesn't scratch). Bonus..the pineapple is SUPER CUTE!!

Totalmente recomendado!!
