Doesn't reduce water hardness when tested
Had very high hopes for such an expensive filter, but unfortunately once testing for hardness with simple strips after installation there doesn't seem to be any difference at all compared to the same test when disconnected.For reference a simple brita filtering water jug makes this test come out at the second lowest point.DisappointingAlso as a note the packaging that it comes in is very plain . no branding at all? with very badly printed instructions, that's quite odd for a big company, not sure if this matters but it does rise some suspricion

Best shower filter out there for hard water
This was very easy to install and the only filter I found that was able to deal with the intense limescale in the water in London. My hair was looking awful (I’m a blonde when I first moved to London and after I installed this filter it started to get back to normal. Worth the money, don’t bother with the cheaper ones. Also you will need Teflon tape to install it which doesn’t come with it.

Expensive snake oil
It’s extremely possible that I might’ve just bought into expensive snake oil because I can confirm this filter does nothing. The first couple times maybe I noticed a difference in the softness of the water, the third time however there was a very obvious difference in the texture. The water was so hard but to make sure it wasn’t just me, I confirmed with fresh water test strips. Extremely disappointment because I trusted all the reviews and went with this expensive one over cheaper alternatives on Amazon, thinking this would solve my water problems. Our water softener has been broken for a while and the hard water has affected my hair quality. I have been losing lots of hair in the shower because of it.

The Best Shower Filter
I rarely write a product review, but this is an exception. The Berkey shower filter is the best. I wasted money a few months ago buying something cheaper and it was a complete waste. The Berkey, after only two uses so far, has made a huge difference in my hair. Where I currently live the water was damaging my hair and weighing it down. I use the Berkey drinking water filter system as well and Berkey is definitely the best. High quality and worth the price.

Recieved a previously used filter
The remove before installing sticker was on outside of box, not on filter like in previous orders. Also a gross black small curly hair is also on my used filter
