That makes reading so much more pleasant that if they were political essays on controversial topics or something. I have to say, though, that breezing through the interlinear text gives you the impression that you actually speak Hebrew, but if you don't take time to actually learn the words you don't know, you're in for a rude awakening when you try to read the all-Hebrew text at the back of the book. At any rate, I love the concept.

Deceptively Readable But Great Nonetheless
While I'm only part of the way through the book, so far it's great. The single best feature is that the stories (so far) are funny. That makes reading so much more pleasant that if they were political essays on controversial topics or something. Hervorragend für etwas Fortgeschrittene!
Hebräischer Text, Transkription und Übersetzung. Und dann die ganze Story noch einmal im ganzen ohne Hifsmittel. Die Texte bieten weitgehend modernes Vokabular. Die Tonaufnahmen der Geschichten kann man sich im Internet dazukaufen.

Not for beginners - no nikud vowels
Not suited for beginners learning to read Hebrew with the aid of the nikud vowel system. As a beginner it's impossible to "guess" the vowel sounds. I bought this book mainly to improve my reading skills, but cannot really use it for that goal.
