A lot of the reviews that I read prior to purchase had 4 main concerns: the lid, the quantity, the stain, and the size. All four points are valid. Reviewers mentioned a box lid with sorting holes that are too small to actually be useful. Well. I ordered 2 sets of these blocks and they have redesigned the lid because there are no holes of any kind. And, to go one step further, one box didn’t even have a lid (by accident, not by design). Thanks, Amazon. Obviously, don’t buy this based on container expectations. Reviewers were correct in advising the purchase of more than one set. 32 blocks are fun but very limited in possibility and not at all fun to share. I bought 2 sets for one child. I definitely could see having 4 sets at some point but they are expensive so I’ll wait. Moving on, concern was expressed over the high gloss stain that makes these blocks “slippery”. I definitely agree, they’re slippery. However, just as other reviewers said, my 4 year old compensated and figured out how to make it work. A little adversity goes a long way in real world lessons. At the end of the day, my 4 year old loves them. Finally, while these blocks are larger than others on the market, they aren’t huge. They are a good size for 4 year old hands but they’re still building blocks and blocks aren’t huge. They mostly pass the toilet paper tube test - the round blocks fit tightly so it’s a borderline fail. I love that my 4 year old loves these blocks. Based on that, I endorse them.

Good quality, perfect size for toddler Smooth edges, nice color and like the verity of sizes. Love the hard container it came in, had braided cord handle , making it easier to transport/ store It also included a pull string mesh bag to use on the go

I ended up buying three different brands of blocks for my toddler. Despite being a brand I've never heard of, these were the highest quality of the three. Photo attached.The quality is excellent in all regards. The machining is perfect, with a smoothly sanded finish and a nice consistent bevel for the edges. I know some things about paint, and it looks like they used a paint system with one or more layers of clearcoat, which provides excellent gloss and durability. They're big and heavy enough to use on carpet without frustration. The durability is also excellent; After a year of my toddler's intensive destructive testing, they still look brand new.These are my child's favorite blocks, by the way. When we play with her blocks together, I may not use more of this particular kind of block than she deems fair, or she becomes indignant. It's quite cute.The only problem with these blocks is the cost. The price per package is fairly high, and you only get a third as many blocks as most other brands. They're big, but you'll still need two packages to have enough pieces to really play with, versus one package of the smaller ones, which exaggerates the cost difference further. On the other hand, these look like they will last forever. So if you want a toy worth keeping for your grandkids, two or three packages of these would be an excellent choice.

I ended up buying multiple of this because they are a great gift and the kids loved it. It did come in packaging easy to move around. The box is a bit flimsy but the bag that it came in was great for storing the pieces.

I like the size and I am confused by reviews that claim chocking hazard since every piece seems to be a rather big piece. And, I am not bothered by them being in secondary colors as opposed to primary colors (I noticed some reviews were dinging the product for the out-of-the-box color choices). I bought 2 sets to provide a sufficient amount for play. I like the sturdy box they arrived in as well as the red tote bag inside the box that actually contained the blocks (even though we are storing them in an open bin for easier access and easier clean up). The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because some pieces have discolored areas. These are pieces where the wood itself had dark spots - it is not an issue of the stain or crafting of the blocks. It wouldn’t have stood out so much to me except for the fact that my 2.5 year old grand-daughter pauses each time she picks up one of the blemished pieces and looks at it before handing it to me and saying “ewww”. So because it gives her cause for concern it gives me cause for concern. Not concern of cleanliness or safety, but cause for concern that she seems distressed by the blemishes and I may have to cull those pieces to keep her from culling them during play. But overall I am satisfied with this product.
