My needs for this mat is to protect my stained glass pattern on my light table when marking and scoring glass. It is not clear transparent, it is a milky white transparent. It works for my needs but where the pattern is not directly over the light, it's a little harder to see the pattern lines. However, overall this silicone mat appears to be durable; does not smell; lays flat, doesn't slide around. For my needs, it's four star, but for general use, it's five stars. This could be good in the kitchen for rolling dough - I may order another to try that out next.

It is going to work great on my desk. The color is good and very easy to clean. Very easy to use and thickness is good. Slip resistance is good to.

I got these for an entirely different purpose that what the sheet would be used for. The thickness was the key for me. I need to cut out a replacement foam rubber gasket for my motorcycle. The gasket disintegrated and I could not get the gasket buy itself. I used the part to trace out a template to cut the sheet. It was easy to do. The sheet lays flat and made the cutting of it a snap. Cleaning the sheet was a breeze. The sheet was water and oil resistant perfect for where it was going. It functions as a gasket better that the original foam rubber one.

It's a larger silicone mat, as advertised. I used it under a 3D printer to protect the surface underneath. it also holds things in place, which can be annoying when you want to clean, but things also do not slide around. As reported, it comes folded, there are creases. Mine have become less noticeable after a week of laying flat - BUT, if you need perfectly smooth I agree with others that will probably not happen. Still if you're not molding on it, or doing something that needs a perfectly flat surface, this will do the job. It's not thick, one person answered my question that it's about 4 sheets of paper thick, probably correct for like 25 lb paper (a bit thicker than standard copy paper). Also it says heat resistant, but I doubt it's the equivalent of a good cooking mat. The bed of my printer gets very hot (75C) and is about 4" off the mat, and there are no issues. I considered buying one for a surface to clean mechanical things on (my sone uses one so). I think liquids would roll right off, it is silicone, but parts would probably stay put well - other things I put on it do. I will look at other vendors but most reviews say they all come folded, the picture of them rolled up is misleading and borders on false advertising if you rely on the picture. I would have paid a couple of bucks more if it came on a cardboard tube and plastic wrapped, couldn't cost the seller 50 cents more I'd think.

Neat solution for my workspace desktop. Durable, best quality with good thickness and size. Already bought 2 of them as they are super easy to use.

Translucent rather than transparent. Works well as sewn-in, no-slip, nonmarking, protection pad backing. (Y'know cats can move just about EVERYTHING...but this stays put!)

Got this for my 2 year old for arts & crafts and it’s perfect. Easy to cleanup and helps prevent messes. The perfect size too!
