Q: Do they have any cushioning or are they more like tape?

It’s like a slightly padded thin strip of tape that can be cut to size but it is brittle and will not get you through the day. Really annoying. Good luck though.

Q: Are these the ones you can use in the heel for shoes that are too big? specifically converse high tops.

The Heavenly Heelz will prove more affective for sneaker applications. The Strappy Strips work best in slingback/strappy heels/sandals.

Q: Have strappy thong style sandals and they just don't jug my foot tightly enough, will these help to add to the strips to make the straps fit snugly?

I was able to use these to stop the back strap from slipping down. Hope that helps.
