Extremely detailed history of recycling and repurposing.Not an easy read such is the depth of history and detail. This is a book to read a few pages a day rather than treating it as a you would a novel.

Rather strangely arranged going backwards in time, but a well-researched and interesting history of how the British (England in particular) have handled, recycled and treated left over objects and goods. Well written and full of curious facts.

Fascinating overview of our long history of reusing and recycling. Good insight into difficulties of community recycling plus how attitudes to managing leftovers fuelled invention and entrepreneurship both successful and unsuccessful. Very readable.
