Yes, it is a landline phone. The phone jack is on the bottom of the phone. the only thing I don't like is the ringer is very loud and shrill. There is not an on off button for the ringer nor is there a volume control. The phone is on a bedside table in the master bedroom. My husband removed the bottom plate and stuffed some cotton balls around the ringer and it has muffled it enough so that when it rings it is not as loud as it used to be. Otherwise, I am very happy with the phone.
