Great dock storage
Great box with plenty of room. Easy to put together and very sturdy. We put this on our dock for storage of life jackets, etc.

Great durable outdoor storage
We’ve had the larger version of this chest on our patio for several years. And even through these years of Minnesota’s weather extremes it is still like new. So we decided to add this smaller version on our deck. It has excellent quality. I notice some reviewers comment it is a little difficult to assemble. On the contrary, I found if you take your time and follow the well written instructions there is no assembly problem. Plus it can be helpful to watch the company’s YouTube assembly instructions. I can’t vouch for the waterproofness of the chests because I go one step farther, I seal all the seams. I run a bead of silicone on the inside of the bottom and side seams. I used GE Supreme Silicone this time but any good quality silicone sealer will work. This step may not be necessary but I’ve always been sort of a belt and suspenders kind of guy. I’m looking forward to many years of excellent service from this chest.

LIFETIME Black Bottom/Tan Outdoor Storage Box
I really love the tan lifetime outdoor storage box with lid (80 gallon size) that I purchased. The measurements of the storage box were accurate, and the storage box fits well in our chosen space. The storage box is nice looking, weather resistant, sturdy, and secure. You can also buy a lock to lock the storage box.

Poor instructions to build nice storage box
Accurately described. Holds seat bottoms, pillows, and towels with room to spare. I haven't tested through wind and rain but seems likely to be weatherproof. This review focusses on assembly, which is easy to do but badly described. Hey Lifetime, why not correct the instructions once and help out all your future customers? The instructions sheet has tiny, borderline useless, figures. Also they call for equipment which was unnecessary. I dutifully hauled my drill and mallet from the basement, only to return them there unused. All the screws and bolts can be hand-tightened, which I think is safer when constructing plastic gear. Also, the entire process can be done by one person if you can support the open lid against a wall when attaching it to the base. Assembly was actually easy once I figured out when I could safely deviate from the instructions.

Makes a Good UPS/FEDEX Parcel locker
I like the size and durability for a parcel drop-box. I found it is hard to open in freezing weather, and high winds move it around on the deck. First, I screwed it to the deck with four 1/4 inch lag screws and LARGE fender washers -- just snug. Too tight will squeeze the bottom plastic. To facilitate easy opening in the cold, I mounted a large grab handle on the top, about 2 inches from the leading edge. A two-hole mount, like one used on garage doors works well. Be sure to use large fender washers under the handle, and on the inside, along with lock washers and "ny-lock" nuts. Do not over tighten! If the box is balky to open, delivery drivers won't use it. I also chained the padlock down to keep it from "walking away" -- it has to be left open during idle time.

assembly is a problem
The poor rating is based on the unnecessarily unpleasant experience of putting it together. Time will tell whether the final product will be worth that trouble. To start with, basic dimensions in the product listing are wrong and essentially missing. The listing lacked the standard image showing key dimensions. What dimensions were available were buried in the verbiage, and it turns out that they are wrong. They mix up interior and exterior measurements. Thankfully third party reviewers and finally the vendor chimed in to clarify. Hopefully the vendor gets around to correcting the listing. Now for the assembly. The first thing that was wrong was that the front or back piece was warped or out of spec, just enough so that the slide-in locking tab and slot system would not mate and slide in into the bottom piece. I ultimately needed an XActo knife to shave off plastic to get them to fit together. Next, what should have been simple and straightforward screw assembly was anything but. Often there were no predrilled holes on the receiving side, requiring a power tool to get the screw started. That might have been okay (as long as the assembler has a powered screwdriver to get the screw started), but the manufacturer inexplicably chose slot head screws for those components, which made them impossible to start without first using a drill to create pilot holes. Pilot holes should have been included in the manufacturing process. If there were screw holes present, typically on the starter side, there was residual plastic in the holes such that the screw could not be inserted without the hole first being reamed out. Also, clearances around bolt heads and nuts is unnecessarily tight, making access with standard socket and crescent wrenches difficult or impossible, instead requiring small vise grips to tighten.Unless you're a very patient assembler with a wide range of tools, skip this one and find something with better design and manufacturing practices.
