Q: Anyone have photos of their hair after using this product? How purple is it?

It is a deep plum, closer to eggplant color but beautiful. I get tons of compliments and it shines a brighter purple in the light. I have used this color for a couple of years over my gray and the coverage is excellent!

Q: If i bleach my hair first, how bright will the amethyst black be?

There is not a color guide on the box for blonde hair. It shows the transition from brown tones. I colored over a faded plum color and it came out as a rich merlot. It's more purple than black. Since it's a very saturated color, I personally don't think bleaching first is a necessary step.

Q: What would the outcome be with a Medium Brown hair for the Purple color?

I have medium/dark brown hair naturally and recently dyed my hair using the purplish color (1.3 Black Cherry). I really like it -- it's darker brown (almost black) with reddish-purple undertones and highlights. It came out really nice.

Q: Does this work over black dyed hair, that was dyed to cover grey? I would like a purple color hue

Yes I have blue black dyed hair and use this color a lot. It gives more of a wine hue, not purple but still a very nice color.
