Q: Does this frame come with any Velcro to get started?

Yes, a narrow hook strip (about 3/8" wide by 29" long) that goes on the fabric with sticky stuff on the back side. So plan for a little extra fabric so it can be cut off when done. The soft loopy strip is already attached to the frame bars.

Q: Does the adhesive on the Velcro mar the fabric?

It is recommendedcut your fabric 1/2" bigger on both ends so you can cut the velcro off. It's very sticky and is not meant to be taken off. But, it holds really well and you can take your fabric on and off the rods.

Q: I have a 14 x 14 canvas what size do I need to get?

I would get 16 inch scroll rods. This will give you extra length for your fabric. Also, I suggest 10 inch stretcher bars. This will make it easier to stitch before you need roll your fabric up to continue stitching. 😎
