Since I was I took electronics apart and put them back together. Always to this day I continue. I was state-wide Electronics Buyer for an exclusive Alabama Department Store Chain. 27 Years in security and electronics and more. I just wanted to say that the quality of choosing Nikon over this brand is not going to hurt your camera. Technology by Nikon is made in China as their Cameras are... not all but enough. Like unbranded Binoculars that are Branded by the U.S. companies are ordered from China and they slap their brand on it. Technology has become so sophisticated that you can count on a majority of alternate brands or unbranded to work within specs or better. Like Generic Prescriptions. Of course, you want to make sure the Specifications are Identical. This is a very nice unit for the price and I have never had a problem using alternate brands. The phrase "use genuine ... or you may damage" is for those that don't know better or have no knowledge of a product. That's OK. But paying 10 times the price to me is not OK. Side-by-side load tests and input/output tests with a Multi-tester should put your mind at ease. If a product is not Certified by a reputable company may be cause for caution. This unit works great. It never even crossed my mind to get a power adapter for my camera until I needed it for a project that I am working on which needs me to be recording for hours on end. The battery scenario of charging it over and over again is not great for that so this was an awesome find. Its simple as plugging it into to battery slot and into the wall. Infinite power to the device for long video or photo shoots. The item shipped quickly and arrived in professional packaging and easy instructions and I was up and running in seconds. Pretty slick. Works perfectly with my Nikon D3200

Absolutely perfect for my needs. I am live streaming on Twitch and recording videos for YouTube on a Nikon D5100, this keeps my camera powered with no overheating issues for hours on end. I accidentally left my camera on for over 24 hours and it was still passing signal via HDMI without an issue. I would absolutely buy again and recommend it.

At first I hesitated between the original adapter and this but now I can assure you that this is a great acquisition, the quality is above expected, it arrived before expected, and works perfectly, I'm really happy with this adapter now I can shot uninterrupted, which is great when you want to repeat something that its not entirely as you wanted and achieve great results.

This is a Wonderful product for my camera package.... I have lost so much footage fumbling around with changing batteries on my camera.... but now with this I can shoot and video as long as I want too... Great product...

This product bricked my Nikon D5100. Out of the other 70 something reviews it appears no one else had this problem, so I can only assume I had a bad unit. Originally I thought the adapter might have been defective, but after trying to power the camera on with my camera battery, the unit would never turn back on. I now have to ship the unit off to Nikon for an extended period of time and pay a few hundred dollars to get the camera repaired. In retrospect, I should have payed the extra $20 dollars or so for a better product.

Used this to enable my D3200 to become a webcam. It works great and powers the camera. There is the usual 'spark' when connecting to a power outlet but no issues thus far.

Pésima calidad, hace que la cámara funcione muy inestable, hace que se la computadora la reconozca y deje de reconocerla en forma cíclica cuando se conecta a través del cable usb.

hasta ahorita de maravilla! para uso en estudio o casa, si vas a tomar fotos en un solo lugar para que no te tengas que estar preocupando por cambiar de bateria, no daña la camara ni nada por el estilo, hasta ahorita estoy muy satisfecho. Si vas a salir de viaje o quieres tomar fotos en el camino entonces no te lo recomiendo, por lo demas muy bien!

Cumple perfectamente con lo que ofrece, no se puede decir más de un accesorio así más que funciona para lo que se ha comprado.
