Great product
I was nervous about the unit leaking, or faulty/sticky valves as some suggest in the review. So I followed one reviewing individual's suggestion to apply teflon tape on all the threads (except the threads on the selenids...) and apply lubricant on all the o rings, and have had no issues with it leaking. In fact, it fitted perfectly, and works like a charm! If I have any issues, I will update.

Not All Feed Lines are 90° to Header
Aftermarket home repair requires some thought and preparation: Is the box big enough to hold all required valves? Is there sufficient clearance between the feeder lines and the solenoid? Do the feeder lines align with the solenoid output? Some additional digging and adaptation will most likely be required by the DYI installer. My irrigation system was done by a "professional" installer approximately sixteen years ago - and approximately one year before we bought this house. I have had to do feeder and source repairs on this system several times. As shown in the included pictures, not all retrofit headers designs are 90° - some are 180°. At the time of purchase (24 August 2015), 180° Orbit headers __DO NOT__ exist. I could have solved this dilemma with a new - and MUCH larger valve box. However, this concept was abandoned because 1. Additional costs (i.e. the new and bigger box), 2. Additional work (excavating a much larger hole), and 3. The zone 3/4 PVC pipes were too close together and approached the box from opposite directions. Number three alone would have made a valve box replacement impractical. So, I choose NOT to replace the valve box. This is a good design concept and _easy_ to assemble. I like the concept of being able to replace any faulty solenoid _without_ major surgery on __and__ the usual amputation of PVC feeder lines. Consistency of valve type is a big plus (I had a combination of Hunter, RainBird, and Orbit valves within my old system). The foibles are few. One is the size of the footprint (i.e. 5.75D x 12.5H x 9.25L inches): Since a 180° header is not available, accommodations for more than three zones in a single valve box exceeds 13 inches - The Orbit 53212 12-Inch Sprinkler System Rectangular Valve Box , commonly "packaged" by Amazon as an add-on item, is insufficient for more than three zones. There is no ding for this foible, since this is a planning phase issue. Unlike the Orbit 57253 3-Valve Heavy Duty Preassembled Manifold , the two valve unit _DOES_ include a five port “Easy Wire” Organizer. RECOMMENDED with thoughtful planning and some basic irrigation skills

Purchased 4. 1 was bad.
Good price for coming preassembled. I took off one star because one of the solenoids was faulty. After an hour on the phone with the company they are sending out a new solenoid. I could have just as easily returned the whole set of 4 and got a new unit the next day but I didn’t want to disconnect everything so swapping just 1 solenoid should be easier. The Orbit website is very clunky and hard to navigate. They could definitely use a new navigation and search function. I had to call twice because finding different things on their isn’t easy. When searching a product like the valve assembly, the website should list the other attachments and connectors on the same page. The quality of the assembled unit seems solid. No leaks and other than one bad solenoid out of 16, it seems to be working at the moment.

A Manifold of Order and Ease
This four-pod irrigation manifold delivereth water with precision and grace, each outlet serving its charge like a loyal steward. Installation was swift, and the flow consistent, bringing drink to thirsty roots with no waste nor woe. A fine device for those who would tame the garden with quiet cunning—and in truth, a fair coin for the peace it bringeth.

Welll..it does say, "Patent Pending"
Because of root damage from my one of my neighbors' trees, I had to replace my sprinkler lines. I have always used a competitor brand for my sprinkler valves, but when I came across this manifold system, it looked exactly what I had envisioned doing with a series of valves. I didn't want them in the ground because...wellll ok, I am old and I have sciatica, and I didn't want to bend down any more than I have to, so I wall mounted. I would have had to purchase and install 5 new valves anyway, so I ordered this product, and also Orbit 57250 2-Valve Heavy Duty Preassembled Manifold to add to this one, so I would have 5. The simplicity of the removal of an occasional bad valve, would be much more simplified. Uttt ohhhhh....maybe it was just a bit TOO simplified?? I followed the manufacturer's instructions to a Tee. I did hand-tighten all of the fittings, per instructions, and to the credit of the manufacturer, I had no leaks on the hand tightening. My water pressure is no where near the 80psi that they say to avoid. Soooo.. I am attaching a few photos here, that show leaks...but not where you hand tighten. If you zoom in, you will see a couple of the valve bodies leaking, but in all honesty, all 5 do. The ones not showing as well in the photos, are on the back side. These are from the manufactured body, and there was no way I was going to try tightening those using my Channel Locks, or anything else, and then have the manufacturer tell me that I violated the product warranty. So, for now, I am not returning them. Why not? Because I have no guarantee that the next 5 will be any different than these 5 were, and it is just another job this old man doesn't need to keep playing with. If the leaks worsen before my return deadline, then I may return. But of course, I will go back to the previous manufacturer, and have to try to adapt what they have, to my installation. Just more work than I wanted to put into this project. Bottom line?? I won't be using this manufacturer's products again. And the circle keeps going round and round. LOL... UPDATE... The leaks must have been the valves seating themselves, because only a couple of weeks passed, and no more leaks. So, they are great.
