Go Honda!
Well not a bad product! But after two years had to replace pull cord and fuel lines!! Thankfully I am good a repairing things. It has always started on the third pull and friends Honda always starts first pull!! Burned up the electrical socket already!! I don't recommend if using for camping, only minor use.

Good for the price....low end features but works as promised, with some issues
Realize this review is written based on a purchase price of 236 bucks from WM (yes that's right), or less than 1/4 of a Honda at similar rating. If I was spending 600, I'd get one of the intermediate brands. There are many bad reviews of Lifan out there, and I'm sure they are justified. It's one of the largest Chinese engine mfgrs, and perhaps they are improving their quality, so far mine does what is promised. I've had some good luck with Lifan engines on go karts.I started with a fill of Shell Rotella 10W30 (the mfgr doesn't include oil, but they do give you a nice plastic 600cc oil pitcher/spout to measure and fill your crankcase) and some fresh gas with StaBil treatment. It fired up on the first pull, and I did a "soft" break-in. Basically ran it with a box fan as load, turning up the speed every 20 mins, then added a resistance heater and stepping it up, for a total run of a couple hours. Drained the oil and it looked very clean, minimal particles. While many complain they can't hit the 1800 watt continuous rating, I had no problem, verified with a Kill-A-Watt meter, also the 60hz and 120 volts were spot on.Noise level...well at low load near idle it just purrs. At full load, it's like a lawnmower. That's how an inverter gen works, they vary speed with load. I don't have numbers, but I'm sure it's significantly louder than the premium brands when running hard, but similar when loafing. It weighs about 10 lbs more than the other guys...maybe that's not all bad...some of the extra metal may be useful. The 105cc engine is bigger than many competitors which are 80cc.No fuel gauge, that's a negative. My unit was built in Dec 2017, it has a USB charging port, something not shown on any of their literature. Also the threads where access cover screws are attached have metal inserts now - stripped plastic threads was a common complaint. The manual is comprehensive and written or edited by someone quite fluent in English. They have a 3 year warranty...covers parts only last 2 years.I'll update this review if it breaks.Edit...one day later...fuel primer bulb cracked, leaked a half gallon of gas on the ground. It's kind of a bad failure because turning off the fuel valve doesn't stop the leak. Called warranty, seem like nice folks, sending me a new one...they will fix it at a service facility, but to me it's not worth it for something I can change myself in 20 minutes. Parts arrived in 4 days, I installed, running fine now.

Low Oil Sensor
Generator will only start and run for 5 minutes, then the low oil sensor kicks on and it won't start again for a number of hours. Happens again and again.
