Exactly What I Was Hoping For
This desk was definitely what I was looking for - in terms of construction, dimensions and quality. I noticed that it was knocked in some reviews because the reviewer(s) thought it wasn't sturdy enough. The first thing I have to point out is that it is advertised as a folding desk. It's not as unsteady as a folding card table but it can be folded. I don't plan to fold/unfold the desk much if at all because that could weaken it. When it is unfolded, it is steady enough for my monitor, two small speakers and an external hard drive. And it gives me much more surface area than my previous desk did. It would be less steady without the keyboard tray installed because the left and right sides fold towards the center but I don't plan to use the desk without the keyboard tray.My first impression of the desk was that it was easy to assemble. All it took was 4 wood screws (provided), a hex wrench (provided) and the pre-drilled holes for the screws. Next, I unfolded the left and right sides of the desk and slid the keyboard tray into the rails on the inner part of the left and right sides. Then, because I live in earthquake country, I anchored the desk to the wall with the brackets and strap provided with the desk. I used my drill for that. That's all the assembly that was required.I've been using the desk for several weeks now and love the materials used in making the desk. And I love the wide keyboard tray (spans the width of the desk). I was delighted to learn the tray locks into place when extended. I've had no problems or complaints about the desk so far. It will obviously take some time to know whether it's going to be a durable desk but I foresee no problems. So, the desk met and exceeded my expectations, considering the price. It meets my specific needs and, if your needs are similar to mine, I highly recommend this desk. If my experience changes later, I'll update this review.

Adequate
I found the stability of the desk to be OK, and the size is good. But the description of "solid wood" is somewhat misleading..... yes, it's 'solid' and not engineered or ply, but it's all finger-spliced from 10" pieces. The joinery is good, but there are some mismatched light/dark pieces that are distracting. If more care were taken to put those pieces to the back of the desk I would have given a 5 star.Overall, for the price it's all right. The packing could have been more substantial. My box had a smashed corner from shipping, but there was no damage to the wood.... luckily, because the packing foam is so thin it wouldn't have protected it.

Bargain
Four screws to assemple. Not to dance on, it's a folding table after all. Very attractive and meets my needs perfectly.

Unbelievably nice for such a low price
This desk is of extremely hard REAL wood. It is a nice size, it's easy to put together once you have the screws, and it's of very good quality. NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF MDF.At first I left a poor review because when I opened the box, I couldn't find the four specifically sized screws to attach the top, and this site and the seller's site had not made it easy or quick to request replacements.I ended up drilling a hole of my own on each side of the back to attach the top, because none of my screws fit the pre drilled holes. The wood was SO HARD (none of this balsa wood!) that my impact drill struggled to drill through it. But I did get it attached.Anyway, the next day when I was cleaning up the packaging, I saw a tiny nondescript unlabeled white box and that ended up having the hardware in it. Took about two minutes to put in and tighten properly. I just left the extra screw in, it's not hurting anything and it's on the back so you can't see it.So if you can't find the hardware (I saw a lot of reviews saying the same thing), you need to literally take the packaging apart piece by tiny piece because it may be hiding like mine was. They need to put that hardware in a DayGlo orange box or something. The desk came well packaged but there was a scratch on the top ... not enough to make me not like it or to make me return it but it is through the finish and it's in a very visible place. That, and the difficulty finding the screws, were the only problems I had. Otherwise this little inexpensive desk knocked it out of the park.
