Great album, Poor sounding 2020 remaster.
Very disappointing. This is a great album, and the original release had great sound.This vinyl record is pressed from a 2020 remaster, and the remaster killed it.The treble is muffled, the overall sound is somewhere between muddy and veiled, vocals are occasionally a bit honky.It seems like they suppressed all of the sibilants so crappy record players could play it without mistracking.The air and sparkle of the original recording is gone.Most of the joy of vinyl is the high-frequency extension and tonality that redbook digital cannot offer do to sampling rate and the limitations of filtering in the D/A process.But it doesn't exist on this record.It's too bad, because if they had taken the original master and transferred it to vinyl as-is, it would have been a great candidate for the vinyl format.Quality of pressing is good, quiet and clean 180g vinyl.

Classic 80’s Album
I had Forgotten just how good this album was, saw them back in the late 90’s at the ExCel London, they were excellent live. This vinyl Pressing is superb, very quite vinyl, great sound, looks like I’ll be collecting a few more Simply Red albums on Vinyl, if they are all this good.
