Is the date on gel the manufacturer date or expiration date?

Good question, I don't know for sure but I would imagine it would be the expiration date as the 'best before' on food products. I always make sure I use the whole tube before the expiration date then you're getting the full benefit & strength from the whitening effect

what is it that makes your teeth white?

I don't know but it really works with no sensitivity. I have used this product for years with no adverse effects. My teeth are really white and I am 70 yrs old..!!
