Biography of the Prophet of Islam (2 Vols.)

I have only finished vol. 1 and screened vol 2. So, this review is based on the first volume which should suffice to give a fair review. The things that stand out most about this work is the details provided in the footnotes. I attached the pages discussing the narrations dealing with Umm Ma’bad which spans for two pages. The author covers the various opinions and discussions on the subject citing both contemporary and classical scholars. What makes this particularly beneficial for the English audience is that the authors reports is own findings while source checking the material he relied upon. As an example, he points out when he is unable to find the information which his references are citing, in the sources they are citing. The translation was done in a manner that does not come off overly academic and as such, it is enjoyable for all levels. I came cross negligible errors in printing or in the form of typos. As an example, a period might be placed before the sentence ends. I also noticed that, maybe twice or thrice, some of formula for “peace be upon him” or “may Allah be please him” where printed away from the names they correspond to— meaning a words after, or before the name. Overall this an excellent piece of research for those of us who are unable to access any those works due to the language barrier or absence of English translations. I highly recommend this and I thank Farid Al-Bahraini for highlighting the unique qualities of Dr. Mahdi Rizqullah Ahmad’s work. May our Rabb grant them a weight scale. Ameen.

Excellent book with creditable references.

The books and pages are high quality. The book itself is more authentic than The Sealed Nectar (according to some students of knowledge). I'll definitely recommend people this Biography of the Prophet. Also, they are easy to store in my bookshelve and not long books.

The hadiths used in the creation of the book is very well sourced and authentic.

Most authentic biography you get in the market. Even more authentic than 'The Sealed Nectar"
