Hard to install.
Not sure who's at fault here. Bought a new Scepter 3 gal outboard gas tank at Academy. They were out of the Johnson tank fitting, so ordered here. The threaded outlet on the tank was so close to the tank body, that I couldn't thread this fitting in. because it was hitting the tank. Loosened the 4 screws on the tank outlet to pull it away from the tank so I could screw this fitting in. Now the fitting was over one of the screws, so I was barely able to get it started, and tighten it down. Looking at pictures here, looks like the tank connector on the Attwood tank is farther from the tank body.

Perfect for my auxiliary cap on my generator.
I bought this to allow a quick release between the cap on my generator and the hose for the auxiliary gas tank, so that I could remove the tank and fill the tank on the ground while the generator continued to run uninterrupted. It has performed flawlessly.

Not as Pictured and out of tolerance compared to OEM.
The product arrived in an attractive Attwood blister pack. The brass finish was very nice. I wanted the octagon shape that was pictured on Amazon, but I received a rounded one instead. I also noticed that the fit was a bit cocked when I attached the female hose connector, so I measured the width of both prongs. The fuel prong matched the OEM connector (.247"), but the clamp prong was narrower in width by .008" of an inch (.228" vs .236"). There is a nice thick O-ring in the female connector that allows for some wiggle, so it probably wouldn't leak, but I decided not to use it.
