Calais Extremely Bright 9005 LED Fog Light Bulb Yellow 2000 Lumens High Power COB Chips 9005 HB3 LED Fog Lights Lamp Bulbs Replacement (Set of 2)

My Subaru STI came with a set of what appears to be an ebay fog light kit that was installed by the previous owner. I had never really used them in the past because the light output was pretty dismal but since recently I had upgraded my high beams and reverse lights to LEDs, I really started to like the appearance, output, and the lower current demand of LEDs. Initially I was going to purchase a set of replacement H7 LED bulbs from a well known company that I purchased my other LEDs from. Although I had been pleased with the high beams and reverse lights I was disappointed to learn from them that their LED H7 fog light bulb output was actually lower than OEM. Since my fog lights originally had Osram bulbs, I figured it would be a huge downgrade in usability.Not wanting to purchase an expensive downgrade, I decided to look on Amazon for additional options and went with these. These are much cheaper and I am very pleased with the results! Initially I was a bit worried with the other reviews stating fitment issues, but I was pleasantly surprised with how great the fitment was and how smooth the installation went. I also immediately noticed an improvement in useable light output!Paired with a nice light up fog light switch that looks almost OEM, I now have a very nice looking fog lights setup that I also use as daytime running lights.

Installed these on a BMW Z3. Fit perfectly. I do like that these have allen head set screws allowing you to spin the LED to the best position for your housing. Few have that. True COB chip which is nice as well. They project in a very usable pattern and give a true vintage type yellow hue, not amber at all. I don't know about longevity as it's only about 2 months since install. Will update my review if they don't last. Otherwise, excellent product especially for the price.

The color was awful. They seem to be a good quality, but I cannot say how much they last because the color is too bad to keep them on the car.

The COB style led is exactly what I needed for my 2006 MBZ S430 fog lights. The bulb quality is excellent and all parts of the housing are metal. The adjustability is a plus but was not needed for my application. 4 stars because I had to machine down the lower collar of the bulb. A halogen bulb has a lower collar that starts smaller then gets larger towards the mounting base. My stock bulb collar started about 9/16" then increased to 5/8" at the mounting base. I was able to chuck mount this bulb in a 1/2 drill to spin the bulb itself, then used a 1/2 belt sander to shape the metal base. The 1/2 belt sander is sometimes called an electric file. Once the minor cutting was done, the bulbs fit perfectly.

I installed H7 Yellow LED bulbs in the late summer along with new foglight housings with yellow laminate film. I've been using them constantly for the past few months with no issues. The fog lights in conjunction with my OEM HID D2S lights are a perfect combo for night or early morning driving. Yes, I would purchase again whenever they give out.
