Had an squeaking issue with a similar-type, but different brand frame. Lifted the bed and gave a couple generous sprays of WD-40 to all the joints 6 months ago and not a peep since.

I would think it would depend upon the type of mattress. My old memory foam mattress would have oozed between the slats.
