I have been using these earring backs for a few years. They are extremely secure and I no longer worry about losing expensive studs. I liked them so well that I gave them to my daughter and granddaughter. They are easy to lock and unlock. Great quality.

Been using these for 20 years back when they were called LOX. Husband bought me very expensive diamond studs that didn’t have screw backs and after nearly losing them three times, I found these. The only thing is - you can’t adjust them once they’re in place. You’ll just break the seal so know that if you need to move them, start over. I have also used these on hook earrings and others I’m afraid to lose and they work well. They can get filled with gunk so soak with soapy water and use a soft toothbrush. Back to new.

Whoever came up with this idea is brilliant. My earrings don't budge. They can be difficult to remove until you know what you're doing or if you have dexterity problems. I'm incredibly satisfied

The locking mechanism only locked one way-and even then, I've lost an earring twice. Additionally, at times the back would only lock in one direction. So the lock would keep the back feom slinding backword but not from sliding foward while sleeping. The earring back would slide so far forward into the back of my ear while asleep - and then would lock -making the earring studd so tight that it would literally pull/cut through my piercing causing irritation and bleeding. Good concept... Product...Not good....

I was getting discouraged losing some of my favorite pairs of hoop earrings because they were falling out of my ears REPEATEDLY. Sometimes, they would fall out when I didn't notice and get lost; other times, I was embarrassed having to pick them up off the floor in the middle of conversations and put them back in. These backs have saved my sanity and a good bit of money in earring replacements! They slide on easily and will not move until you pinch the spring. It wasn't as hard to get a feel of how to pinch the spring as I thought. The large white plastic part makes them easy to find if you lose your grip and they end up falling on the floor or the ground (I've lost so many backs that way!) Since I started using these backs, I've not lost any of my hoop earrings and I even wear the slightly larger and even heavier ones with the confidence that I won't lose them no matter how they twist on my earlobes. I even add them as a security backup on my hoops with the hinge closing. The price was a little disappointing for only 2 pairs of backs, but they are more sophisticated than regular metal or plastic backs. I'm definitely going to buy more and even consider using them on my studs since I've nearly lost a few from wearing my motorcycle helmet. If you're tired of your favorite hoops or earrings falling out of your ears, GET THESE BACKS! Save yourself some money and a lot of grief!

I use them for my teeny tiny diamond earrings. One fell out (fortunately I found it) so I got these locking backs. Then one fell out (fortunately I found it again)! Just sayin,’ maybe still check your earring backs regularly; nothing is foolproof.

These are one of several types of locking backs which I have purchased for pierced ear rings. They seemed fragile when I opened the package BUT they have withstood a lot of use and I'm not done with them yet. These backings have never fallen apart nor have I ever lost an earring due to a malfunction. These backings appear to fit on many different earring post sizes as well. I do recommend these plus they are a fraction of the price of another brand (which, incidentally fell apart).

Worth every penny! No more lost earings:)
