StarbucksNew Orleans Ceramic Coffee Mug Been There Series Cup

Bought this as a replacement for the one I got when I was on a trip to New Orleans with girlfriends. Accidents happen, and another family member dropped the original mug in the kitchen and the handle snapped off :( I loved the mug as it reminded me of a girl’s trip my friends and I (who all live in different cities now and don’t get to see each other regularly) had taken to New Orleans last year. The Starbucks website no longer sells merchandise, so I couldn’t get a replacement there - but I was lucky enough to find one here on Amazon! It arrived in great condition in the original store packaging. It’s just a mug, but I love it!

I was so happy with my purchase for my family until I saw the price tag on the bottom for $12.95 and I had paid $$34. Why ?

I love the Been There series by Starbucks. New Orleans is my favorite city. But the last time I was there, I wasn't able to get to a Starbucks to get to it, so I went to the internet to search. It's not a rare city, they are never sold out, so the fact that there is such a high markup on an item that retails for under $15 is ridiculous. I was three sheets online shopping (my own fault, admittedly), and I have zero regrets because I love the mug, BUT. Were I stone cold sober, I would NEVER have paid such an exorbitant amount for a coffee mug.Mug is, as Bill and Ted would say, Most Excellent, worth 5 stars.Price gouging is a bummer, so that knocked it down to 2 stars.

Looks great. Nicely packaged. As wth all Starbucks Been There mugs a little overpriced, but it is a gift & I purchased it anyway. Basically, all good.

This is a wonderful mug. I never use them, but I collect the best ones from Starbucks, and this one about New Orleans is the best one in my collection..
