This book (and the preceding volume) have to be seen to be believed - the attention to detail in the artwork is simply stunning and gives the story a feeling of depth and craftsmanship that is reflected in the subtle and historically faithful storylines.Time spent reading this book will not be wasted and you will want to come back and re-read it just for the stunning visual impact. I only wish the whole thing were in colour!

good manga story and art. Not you usual story line but similar and different to her earlier work Emma.its a string of warm hearted stories set in 19th century central asia. adequately researched and imaginative.The artwork is detailed unlike most historical manga (deliberate to not detract from the historical essence) but reads other mainstream manga wierdly enough - but it has a different feel to it.recommended alternative to mainstream manga.
