I am giving this 5 stars so far. I am one of those people who looks at every possible option before buying. I love design. In the past I would buy great looking items after buying looking items only to quickly discover that if the functionality was amiss I wouldn't use it. Silverware needs to be well balanced, not too heavy not too light, the fork and spoon should not be awkward and huge etc. This is beautiful and the perfect weight. While it is more expensive than some flatware it is an excellent price for 18/10 handmade in France flatware. Especially if it lasts a lifetime??? I must mention that I purchased a set of silverware last year. It was beautiful, well designed, great weight, 18/10 flatware designed by Yamazaki.After a few weeks scratches appeared all over the silverware. I want something that is build to last. I will re-review to update on the wear and tear which is just as important as the initial look. So far so good. P.S. the handle is hammered on both sides. Google Barenthal.

Matched our daily use set perfectly. The spoons keep running away to the moon, apparently. Heavy, have worn well for a year. No dishes have gone missing yet.

I like having double teaspoons but my Mikassa Oliver set for 12 only had 12 teaspoons. I use these teaspoons to provide the extra set I need. Slight difference on handle, curved vs. squared, but close enough to use easily.

Excellent spoons would buy again.

The only negative I say about these spoons is they are a little too thin in the neck, and do not feel as nice in the hand as my existing set. But they match well enough and overall I am pleased with it.
