good product and price
ordered for hubby - he's always fixing, building or repairing something - great quality and size fit on his wood top work bench w/o taking up too much space.

Good vise, low cost, expect to do a couple minor mods if you buy it
I picked this one purely based on price. I just do hobby type projects in the garage so I don't need an industrial strength one.The vise didn't sit well on the swivel base due to a casting issue on the vise side. A quick disassembly and about 20 minutes with a file fixed this problem, but I do expect I'll have a little problem with rust down the road. I'll see.Second issue was with the swivel locking bolt and handle assembly. The handle/threaded collar didn't move freely. Even after hitting it with a shot of WD40. I had to run a die over the threads to clean it up, and, frankly, it was much more than I expected. The threads on the inside of the collar/handle assembly we pretty jacked up too, enough to where I could not tighten the vise down on the swivel base sufficently to hold it in place. I tried to run a tap down the inside of the collar, but didn't have one that would 'cut' all the way to the bottom of the threads, so I ended up using the handle and locking bolt from the old, broken vise. This solved the problem. I probably could've put a washer or two on the bolt below the handle, but I had the other one, so I went that route.Took about 1.5 hrs to solve the issues, but did a couple projects since then and it's good so far. All in all, it works well for what I need, and, the best part is that it arrived only 2 days after ordering it.

You get what you pay for
Yes, this vise has good width at the clamp. But, the overall sturdiness of this vise is questionable as it has a very small frame. Looking at it mounted gives me no additional faith in it. I learned to always check the weight as I did not with this order.
