EMSA34-Ounce Auberge Quick Tip Carafe, Chrome

This is a chrome-colored plastic serving jug with a glass liner. A glued-on sticker denotes a 3-year warranty, but no other warranty details were provided on the informational insert found inside the jug. The word "Auberge" (not "Melody") is stamped on the jug's bottom. When first operating the release mechanism, I heard a swoosh of air released, so the lid appears to be sealing well. The lid is quite easy to screw into place, and the pouring mechanism is a one-handed & dripless process. This type of serving jug should be preheated and then filled to capacity to reduce the air pocket. Results: At the 6-hour mark, the coffee poured from this jug was steaming hot. This jug is easy to clean by hand. I have nothing negative to report. A+.

This glass lined carafe does not give any taste to your coffee whereas stainless steel lined carafes add a slight metallic taste to the coffee. This carafe is made in Germany--even the blown glass liner---and the glass is lead-free per the manufacturer. If the pot is preheated with boiling water, it will keep the coffee hot all day. I remove the lid of the pot with the whole palm of my hand because I have read that some people are using the lever to screw and unscrew the lid resulting in the lid lever breaking off. The pot is not leakproof if it is filled with coffee and left in a horizontal position--it will leak some coffee if not upright. My husband loves this coffee pot for work.

Nice carafe. Purchased for my mom and she likes it. I suggest that you let hot water sit in it for a while when getting ready to use it, otherwise coffee cools fairly quickly. Poor out the water when your coffee is ready to go in it.

I use this every single day. The feature I like is that it's a 34 oz capacity which is just perfect for my husband and I for breakfast and it's push button release so no unscrewing the lid to pour... I use a pour over Coffee-Gator which makes 28+ oz. I preheat with hot water while making the coffee. It keeps the coffee hot for hours. I love that it's glass lined so no metal taste. I have tried several different thermal carafes and this is the best I have found.

Attractive carafe that holds heat well. But I can hear liquid sloshing around inside the walls when the carafe is empty, and I don’t know how to get it out or prevent this problem. The bottom leaks some.

Been using this since April 2017. I’m very pleased and I still use it a lot. It keeps my liquid hot for 24 hours! Great quality as expected of German Engineering. Now I am looking to purchase a bigger capacity carafe from this same brand.

Do not buy! The inner glass exploded for a few uses.

I am very happy with my Emsa Carafe. It looks very nice, it has great quality and it keeps my beverages very hot for several hours.
