This is a great idea in theory just not in practice if you have a screen/security door. It simply won’t fit the space between the 2 doors.

I liked that it was immediately noticeable once holding it that the material of the product is high quality I was skeptical at first but it’s metal and there is no way for someone to take the camera it’s extremely ideal for apartments so for that purpose alone it’s doing a amazing job. It’s sturdy too and doesn’t effect how the door opens or closes & the Ring works perfectly with it!

The item holds the ring doorbell in place excellently, however the thread that attaches the tightening bolt holding it to the door itself is very fragile. I have ordered this item twice thinking I had a dud and the same thing happened to both. The thread will snap off of the bracket, even with a tiny amount of pressure.

It's adequate but not perfect. The overall concept is good but the execution needs to be refined.My biggest gripes about the device could be easily solved by a redesign. The metal backing that goes on the back of the plastic cage requires four screws. This is very frustrating to me, as it'd be a lot easier if it snapped, slid, or locked into place without having to be screwed. Also, the thumbscrew on the back bracket to tighten it to the door could be better quality and left a mark on my door when I used it. This too could be better designed.

UPDATE: i like the idea of this mount and it works/fits door fine..if you dont have to remove the mount every now and then so you can charge the ring. Ive had my back door mount where the thread broke so i just bought another. Now my front door mount has the same issue, the black piece is broken so it cant be tightened and itll just slide down the door. Adding the one broken mount from earlier review plus the 2 broken ones now,thats 3 mounts that broke the same way. Its too fragile, dont use if youre not going to leave it there and never touch it again.I love this product. You don't have to drill holes all over and dont have to worry about easy theft of the ring doorbell..what else is there to need?! I ordered 2 and unfortunately one of the 2 came "broken". The hole for where the screw goes lost the part that helps the screw tighten onto the door. In other words the mount wont stay in one spot on the door without it fixed..it'll just keep sliding down, so I'm returning that one. I do like the product enough to buy another one when it becomes available! Definitely worth it.

My Ring Doorbell was stolen about two months ago. I purchased this and a week after I installed it, I saw a video of a car pull up and a woman got out. The moment she saw the box she walked away.This box works and my only question is: What took them so long to make it and why doesn't in come in different colors? They should also make one that goes on the top of the door.

It does what it’s supposed to do. It secures your camera and doesn’t easily allow people to screw with it. Before we bought this, some a** clown took our doorbell camera down and threw it in the street! Luckily, a cable installation guy saw the piece of trash that did it and picked the camera up and returned it to my husband. So, we got this and that hasn’t happened again. I can’t believe the nerve of people. That’s why humans can never get along. Can’t respect one another or one another’s property and personal possessions for that matter. Humanity has no hope if people keep it up. It really tends to make people despise human beings in general.

My daughter purchased this for her apartment and loves it. I decided to purchase one for our home as well. It's very sturdy, heavy duty metal that secures and wraps around your door without screws or adhesives.This frame is best used for FLAT doors. Unfortunately, our doors have large window inserts so the door mount will not lay flush against the door as the mount overlaps on the raised trim of the window inserts. All of our doors are like this. Also, if you have a screen/storm door, your video/security camera will not be able to see through frame of that door when you have the camera in the mount.
