OMG!
These are so incredibly good… They make a great gift, if you buy them you’ll become addicted and eat the whole jar in one setting.

Tasty
These are advertised as "honey pearls". And while they have a nice flavor, there is nothing honey tasting to them. In the ingredients 5% is listed and I think that's generous. That said. They are delicious in glasses of ice tea and glint like little jewels. But as candy it's a mild lemon drop, not a honey lemon pearl pastille.

A bit pricey but worth it!
These aren't your typical candies where you can just keep popping them in your mouth, but more of a delicate treat. I shared mine with the nurses at work to help them have a bit of relaxation and soothing-ness prior to starting their shift.

Good but barely any lemon flavor :(
They’re really cute hard candies, but there is barely any lemon flavor. Don’t get me wrong, they taste pretty good but if you’re looking for a more Lemonly flavor, don’t get this.

Not so ancient a recipe......
I so wanted to like this candy. I am limited in my diet by what I can eat because I have allergies to soy. Natural flavorings are generally a derivative of soy or are soy based so I read labels carefully before purchasing. I was excited by the simplicity of this candy and the claims the company made that it followed the old recipe from long ago. According to the website, it was soy I free. When the candy came, I ate several of the tiny pieces, savoring the admittedly delicious taste. Then the migraine came and the nausea and the other symptoms that only are triggered with bad foods. I looked at the label of the candy and what did I see? NATURAL FLAVORS. Last time I checked, they didn't have natural flavors back in the 16th century. It wasn't listed with the other ingredients on the website. Two days of illness were my reward. I was very disappointed. It was an expensive lesson. The candy was delicious.
