Sturdy enough to hold my 17lb cat and cute enough that I’m not embarrassed of them. It’s the right size to hold my cats, but I wish it was a hair bigger. My cats use these several times a week. I recommend installing no more than 2 feet from the floor or the next place they can jump to. It took them a little bit to use until I had the armchair there that they could jump off of.
