Things to know if you're removing VERY dark color
This is a great product IF you use it correctly. I've made a couple mistakes using this so let my experiences save you the headache. Background: I naturally have blonde/dirty blonde hair. When it grows in it's straight up translucent, which is great for adding color but makes it difficult to remove. For the past ~3 years I have been various shades of brunette, with the most recent being darkest brown. Since dark colors are hard to maintain on my hair, I wanted to strip the color and recolor with a light brown. Pretty straight forward.I went ahead and did the Color Oops treatment and followed the instructions exactly, which stripped my color down to a light orange. (Ironically, it looked very much like the box). This is NORMAL and totally expected. Just because I'm blonde naturally does not mean this will fully restore my natural color. After a couple years your haircolor will be permanently altered (even if you only use demi-permanent dyes like I did). Now, the box states that you can recolor your hair immediately after doing the treatment. I would NOT recommend this. My recommendation would be to sleep on it and then color the next day. This gives your hair some time to recover. Now if you're impatient like me, be warned: your hair will absorb whatever next dye you put on it like a sponge. So that light brown hair dye I recolored with? Came out incredibly dark. I was basically back to square 1. I've learned that this happens for a couple of reasons: first, your cuticle is wide open after the color oops treatment. Any color you add will be more intense. Second, there is a good chance that particles from your previous color(s) are still in your hair, so when you apply developer they may reactivate and result in a much darker color.So. Make sure you're picking a significantly lighter shade if you're recoloring, or mix your new color with conditioner to dilute the effects. Good luck and don't do what I did!

Works on henna!
I bought this as a last resort because I was desperate to not bleach or cut my hair to get the henna out and I am so glad I did. I used the extra conditioning one because I didn't want to damage my hair, and it took me from dark red to more of a golden blonde with zero damage. My hair was fairly dry for a day or two but even then it never felt brittle or fried, it just needed a rest and deep conditioning. I plan to buy it again to remove the last bit of henna in my hair

Hair is still healthy and it worked great
I was skeptical to try this for the longest time because my hair is really healthy and I didn't want to damage it. My hair was dyed very black for about 5 months and I had decided that I wanted to go to auburn. My hair is still so healthy and it was lightened to the exact shade that I would've dyed it after using color oops. I am so impressed!

Works alright
Not too bad! You can see my before and afters. Definitely turned me Orange (natural blonde) so I will either have to try again or bleach. May try to tone and see if that helps any. Smell is horrible but that’s expected. Kinda like rotten eggs. Overall I’d say it’s a pretty good color remover.

It's not worth it!
The product damaged my hair. It was a mistake I regret it. It also smells very bad and strong that lingers for days.
