This ceramic mug is a really good collectible for Harry Potter fans, and is equally an awesome every day mug for Potterheads. Sure it does not have a handle, but I actually want this more because having a handle distracts from the auhenticity and realness of the look of the "pot." I also find that I'm not at all bothered by how hot this mug gets when i drink my freshly brewed (read: HOT!) coffee in the morning. The mug is thick enough. I can always grab on the top part of the mug if I feel bothered by the heat, WHICH NEVER HAPPENED.I like that the Harry Potter logo is embossed on the mug. I like that the mug has "feet" so the base of the mug is not laying flat on the table. The overall look is so effective, that I get compliments from visitors when I put this mug out. It says it is microwave and dishwasher safe, which I believe is true. I tried putting this in both of them and they turned out perfectly fine after.I have attached photos for closeups and height reference. I hope the photo helps you more in your decision. From one Potterhead to another, YES I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS NOVELTY AND FUNCTIONAL ITEM. :)
