Review: Pot lifts lift wet, newly thrown clay vessels - If you are not confident or proficient enough to handle freshly made pottery still on the wheel, these lifts are the answer. You cut the pottery delight off your wheel with your wire, wiggle the pot lifters from either side under the pot, a little way in from the edge of the pot, twist ever so slightly, and lift. Carry carefully to a prepared place, then wiggle the pot off the lifters onto the surface chosen for the piece to dry until leather hard and ready to design or trim.
