DBXDI4 Active 4 Channel Direct Box with Line Mixer

The sound is perfect with this
This is the missing tool that I needed. I use the valume like an overdrive on guitar amp simulators. The deliver was bad because it was opened. A rubber foot thing was missing. So I wasn't happy. I used chewing gum to balance it. Good for them line inputs with no preamps.

Great product
Great product. I have two keyboards running through it. Much better signal & tine.Update: Worked great for about 3 weeks then died. Disappointed and reluctant to purchase again.

Excellent active multi-channel DI not requiring phantom power
Ideal for things like multi-keyboard to mixer interfacing. Not requiring phantom is one advantage, and the variable attenuation choices allows for 0dB interfacing, which is better for system S/N when it can be used, which is more often than not with mixers having line inputs or the like.Cons are mild and given the price should be considered reasonable compromises: 1. a. DI channels do not have parallel outputs for connecting both to local amp and to mixer b. DI channels do not appear isolate the returns for inputs from each other, so in some cases this can cause source-side ground loop issues. Use of common AC circuit and the like mitigates these concerns. 2. Mixer is useful to headphone out, but other output is on RCA phono jacks, which is a very odd choice in general for use on stages. If these were current-balanced TRS it'd be lots more useful, and add nearly zero cost. What were the designers thinking on that point?

Must Have Gotten a Lemon
Bought one of these to connect an electronic drum set to my church’s sound system. Only had it for two months and showed up for rehearsal last week and the drums were on the fritz. I spent hours trying to troubleshoot the problem only to realize it was the DI box, which I had discounted being the problem because it was so new. Now I’ve missed the return window. I give it two stars because when it worked, it was great! But it didn’t last two months. Disappointing.

Powerful, useful active DI
Amazing product for the price! I am so surprised that this piece of technology has not taken off in the market yet. Four high-quality active direct boxes for under $100? That's impressive. So grateful I found it and freed up four individual direct boxes! No noise. Individual signal control. Three pad settings. Built in mixer. Individual ground lift option.Heads up, this unit requires an external power unit (wart included). I do not believe it functions with phantom power.
