Q: How long does the gum irritation and sore last? I am dying from the pain and I have healthy teeth & gums.

Your gums don't need to be sore at all if you follow a few simple steps which ARE NOT listed in the directions with this packet: 1) After you've heated and fitted the whitening trays to your teeth, use a pair of scissors to trim away the portion of the trays that touch or cover your gums. 2) Use Vaseline to coat your lips and possibly your gums to ensure that no whitening gel gets onto them. 3) Rather than squirting whitening gel into the trays as directed, use a cotton swab or something similar to smear and dab the whitening gel directly onto your teeth. Be generous, but don't put so much on that the gel oozes everywhere when you insert the trays 4) insert the trays and wait the directed 20 minutes. I used this technique that I found on another forum and I did the entire 2 hour process before bed and went to sleep with no gum pain or tooth sensitivity, and had visibly whiter teeth. Good luck!

Q: Did anyone use the toothpaste and mouthwash to help with their teeth whitening, or did the kit work great on it's own?

I started using the Intense and Deep Whitening toothpaste in December along with the mouthwash and my teeth improved within a few weeks. I am gong to use the whitening tonight (since I just had my teeth clean and the dentist polished off the remainder of the stains).

Q: Do I need to use a standard toothpaste in conjunction with this?

No Rembrandt is all you need. It has fluoride and an enamel strengthener. It is the only toothpaste that seems to keep my breath fresher longer.

Q: Is it okay to use mouthwash while brushing my teeth with my Braun electric toothbrush? I don't want to wear the enamel off my teeth.

Sure. However, mouthwash can spray all over much more than the toothpaste!
