The washable material on these casual women’s sandals makes cleaning easy, and the cushioned footbed provides comfort on the go. Review: LOVE KEENS - LOVE THEM, I buy these for absolute breathability, light weight, covered toe area (no stubbing toes), and a wide enough toe box, for me (due to bunions). They're easy comfortable wear with no socks or with socks either way. Super easy breaking in, if even needed, not like a lot of shoes. The elastic lacing is adjustable to fit your feet the way you want them too. When I first get a new pair, I usually loosen lacing all the way, & adjust for my feet These last for Years because quality is great. I can wear these feeling safe & secure... I am 70 yr old & I feel confident I won't slip & fall, it's ok if they get wet, great outsole on them too, that doesn't wear down at all. The covered toe box & the back keeps me safer too. I've been wearing Keens for many years because they last so long. I'll buy another pair in the next year or so to replace my brown ones I've had for years already. Keens are more expensive, than some cheap brands, but for the quality, longevity, & comfort I buy! ** I advise order up in size & I think that's maybe because, my opinion only, of the color. I find many shoes & pants that are black tend be be smaller on me. I also think this "style", Whisper, is more snug fitting I ordered up & they're perfect! I have always ordered up in size with KEEN brand anyway, but these black whisper needed a little more size up, for me. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I wear these in the ocean?**
A: These shoes are great in the water, hiking (short hike 5,6 miles), and everyday. I have worn kayaking many times. I have four pair of these sandals and where them all seasons (Florida).

**Q: What the W stands for? Is a different model?**
A: I do see that there are the regular Whispers and the W. I’m not sure if that’s a newer model or if it’s for wider feet. I do notice the colors are different.

**Q: Could you place your orthotics in these with possibly placing something to help them stick on the bottom?**
A: Yes! I cut squares of heavy duty, stick-on velcro, & put a square on the insole, & the other square on the bottom of the orthotic. You have to be careful to match up the squares. For each sandal, I use one on the heel and one on the ball of the foot. I use them in all my sandals, & my orthotics never slip. Good luck.

**Q: What is the sole made of? Is it plastic or suede? The is the part that's right next to the bottom of your foot. Thanks.**
A: The sole is a soft yet sturdy plastic material. It is very supportive (like all keen shoes)-  Next to the bottom of my foot is the soft plastic contoured foot pad.
